A pavilion that collects visitors’ stories in coloured thread.
An interactive wooden pavilion made from locally sourced timber with interlocking joints. It posed a series of questions, and visitors answered by running coloured thread between wooden pegs. Over time the answers built up a rich pattern of shared experiences.
My role
I met weekly with the design-build team for several months before the festival, developing initial concepts, sketches, the interactive questions and the construction process.
